The Top 10 Fun Activities On Hilton Head Island

Whether this will be your first trip to Hilton Head Island or your 20th trip, you know there are at least 10 things that you must do while you are here and I am here to give you just a little advice.

Rent a bike – Make sure you rent a bike, no matter where you are staying on the Island. You can enjoy more than 50 miles of paved bike trails from Sea Pines to the north end of the Island. When you stay with Resort Rentals of Hilton Head Island you also can receive discounts for bike rentals.

Climb to the top of the Harbour Town Lighthouse – 114 steps to the top to enjoy one of the best views on the Island. When you come back to the bottom, grab an ice cream cone from the shop at the bottom of the Lighthouse.

Go on a dolphin cruise – Go out and spot Flipper 50 times over when you take a dolphin cruise. Cruise the Calibogue Sound or Broad Creek to get up close and personal to these fun animals.

Golf, golf and more golf – Tee it up on one or more of our 20 beautifully designed golf courses on and off the Island. Here at Resort Rentals we can even help you arrange tee times for you and your golf partners!

Seafood with a view – Make sure you eat at one of our numerous seafood restaurants with a view of the water – Black Marlin, Skull Creek Boathouse or an old stand-by – Hudson’s Seafood on the Docks.

See an alligator – With all the lagoons on the Island, you are bound to see an alligator sunning itself on the banks. Just don’t get too close and PLEASE, PLEASE-do not feed them.

Coastal Discovery Museum – Located at Honey Horn Plantation, you can visit the Butterfly Garden or schedule a walking tour. Beautiful large oak trees draped in Spanish moss are a sight to see there as well. From April to November, they also have a Farmers Market on Friday mornings.

Rent a kayak – There are several locations here on Hilton Head where you can rent a kayak and enjoy Hilton Head’s tidal creeks, marshes and inlet waterways. Call us and we can arrange a rental for you – 800-845-7017.

Lawton Stables – Make sure to get by the stables when you are here as they have a petting zoo with goats, donkeys, ponies and an array of other animals. You can also take a trail ride with a guide through the Sea Pines Forest Preserve.

BEACH – Who can take a trip to Hilton Head Island without visiting the beach? Our wide sandy beaches will let you ride bikes, build sand castles, walk and sunbathe even at high tide! You can also hunt for shells and sharks teeth!
