Festivals, mixed with beautiful weather will make Hilton Head Island the go-to destination for spring.
Yes, it is the beginning of February, but with temperatures in the uppers 60’s, we are already starting to think about spring and what it has to offer us here on Hilton Head Island!
The 27th Annual Wine and Food Festival has become one of the East Coast’s largest tented wine festivals. It takes place March 5th -March 10th. There are weekly events that will culminate with the Wine and Food Festival on Saturday March 10th.
All week long are the Great Chefs of the South Wine Dinners. Come and have award winning wines and delicious meals. Prices will range from $55-$125 per person. Locations TBA. Please visit www.hiltonheadwineandfood.com for further details.
The Grand Tasting takes place Friday evening March 9th from 5:30-7:30pm. It is held at the Sea Pines Conference Center. Tickets are $65 per person and you will get to sample a wide array of award winning wines with gourmet delights.
The Wine and Food Festival will take place on Saturday March 10th at Honey Horn Plantation. Tickets can be purchased the day of the event for $45 a person. This includes wine tastings and a souvenir wine glass. There will be local restaurants there with savory bites for additional charges. There is also a silent auction for bidding on exclusive wines.
Stick around for our annual St. Patrick’s Day parade held on Sunday March 11th. The parade starts at 3pm along Pope Avenue and will run to Park Plaza off of Office Park Road. This event is held rain or shine and is fun for all ages.
Wingfest will be Saturday March 24th. Come and sample local restaurants cooking up their best wings. The event will be at Shelter Cove Park behind the Shelter Cove Mall from 11am-6pm. There will be live music and a Kid Zone. $5 admission and kids 12 and under are free.
