Have You Ever Visited Hilton Head Island During The Holidays? If You Haven’t You Are Missing Out!

Take some time this busy holiday season and getaway to Hilton Head Island. We can pretty much guarantee that there will not be any snow but we will have the sandy beaches for you to enjoy!

A lot of people have the idea that during the wintertime, Hilton Head basically shuts down. I am here to tell you that is not the case. While some restaurants do close for a week or so, the Island is usually hopping with things to do. Golf courses and tennis courts are open. There is also PLENTY of shopping as well for you ladies.

We also have special events during the Holiday Season as well.

Join the Island Recreation Center, at the Shelter Cove Community Park on December the 5th for a Winter Wonder Festival from 4pm-8pm. Roast marshmallows, hayrides, carnival games and much more. Admission is $10 for kids 2-15.

The “Dove Street” Lights have found a new home! This news makes us Islanders VERY happy to hear! Beginning December 1st, the row of shops and restaurants at the Shelter Cove Towne Center will be illuminated by a canopy of 50,000 lights, recreating the feel of a community event that drew islanders to Dove Street for 20 years before the festival ended in 2010. Guests will now be able to get out and walk around to enjoy the lights.

Gregg Russell will be performing a special Holiday Concert on Tuesday night 12/23 starting at 7:30pm. Come to Harbour Town under the Liberty Oak and enjoy holiday songs. Also enjoy the Christmas lights that Harbour Town as to offer as well. I hear that Santa will be making a special trip as well.

New Year’s Eve is also special around here too. In Harbour Town, we have a golfball drop off the side of the Lighthouse twice that night…at 7pm for the early birds, or children and one at midnight for the revelers!

Several restaurants also have special New Years Eve menus as well. If you are looking to dine out-make reservations early. We can help you make reservations as well!
From all of us here at Resort Rentals of Hilton Head Island-We want to wish you and your family a joyous holiday season and a prosperous 2015!
