“Fall” In Love With Hilton Head!

Fall is one of the best times to visit Hilton Head Island. No crowds, no humidity and best of all no no-see ums!

Just because Summer is over, does not mean that the Island and surrounding areas are not buzzing with excitement. With the cooler temperatures arriving, here are some things to keep you and your family busy while you are here visiting.

Pinckney Island Wildlife Refuge – This is the small island located in between the two bridges coming onto Hilton Head Island. There are 10 miles of hiking and biking trails. Roughly 70% of the refuge contains tidal creeks and marshlands. Grab your camera and get ready to take pictures of all sorts of wildlife. Alligators, armadillos and the occasional bald eagle are just some of the animals you may see.
Bluffton Farmers Market – Located in the quaint little town of Bluffton, the Farmers Market is a local favorite. Held every Thursday from 2pm to 7pm on Calhoun Street in historic downtown Bluffton. You can pick up an array of fruits, vegetables and sweets too.
The Coastal Discovery Museum at Honey Horn – From exhibits to guided walks and talks, this is sure to please. There is a butterfly enclosure, gardens and live animal programs. You can also explore on your own. Honey Horn is located on the north end of Hilton Head Island and is open Monday-Saturday 9am to 4:30 pm and on Sunday 11am to 3pm.
