Oyster Reef Golf Club

Rees Jones designed this highly popular golf course in 1983 when it was honored as one of the 25 best new courses in America. Strategically placed fairway bunkers and mounds together with numerous doglegs make this course memorable for all levels of players.
The greens were converted to Tif Eagle Bermuda in 2002 and it is generally considered one of the better conditioned courses in the area. The views from the course overlooking Port Royal Sound are spectacular and the course places a premium on precise tee and approach shots. Oyster Reef's (pictured) signature hole, the 160-yard, par 3 sixth, commands a spectacular waterfront setting.

Oyster Reef is a semi-private facility. Tee times should be booked in advance, as there are limited public tee times available.

Directions

Located in Hilton Head Plantation, turn off 278 into the Plantation and tell the guard at the gate that you have a tee time at Oyster Reef. They will give you a daily pass and follow the signs down the main road through the Plantation to the golf course.
