The Ocean Course in Sea Pines is Hilton Head’s first golf course. The course is challenging but playable with the first four holes starting with strategically placed water hazards. The course was re-designed in 1995 by Mark McCumber and winds through the beautiful Sea Pines community.
The par-3 15th hole backs up to the Atlantic Ocean and provides a breathtaking view. It is one of only two courses on Hilton Head Island that offers an ocean view. Ocean Course is an “Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary”, and is home to many tropical Lowcounty birds.
Strategically placed hazards swallow errant shots, and provide homes to Lowcountry alligators.
The Ocean Course is located in Sea Pines Plantation on the far, east (south) end of the island. A $5 gate fee is required when entering the Plantation. Bring the pass into the clubhouse when you check in for golf, and your money will be refunded. The pass is valid only for the day of play.

The Sea Pines golf courses are always in very good shape, and the service is top notch. The water hazards on the Ocean Course will swallow many golf balls from errant tee shots. The par-4 17th hole is one of the hardest on the island.
