Harbour Town Golf Links

Harbour Town Golf Links is home of the PGA Tour’s Verizon Heritage – The Heritage of Golf. It is ranked the Number One Resort Course in South Carolina by Golf Digest, and is time and again ranked among the top golf courses in the world.

The golf course is known for its well-protected “postage stamp” size greens, classic par-3s, and the par-4 18th hole with the famous red and white lighthouse in view. A good short game is necessary to score well, particularly when the wind is blowing off Calibogue Sound.

Pete Dye completed a restoration in 2000, and it has brought the course to a new level of quality and condition.

Directions

Harbour Town Golf Links is located in Sea Pines Plantation on the far, east (south) end of the island. A $5 gate fee is required when entering the Plantation. Bring the pass into the clubhouse when you check in for golf, and your money will be refunded. The pass is valid only for the day of play.

Tips from the PGA Pro

Harbour Town Golf Links is in GREAT shape. I have played the course a number of times since the restoration. Harbour Town is tops on my list, and is a must play for anyone. Brace yourself if the wind is blowing. Sixteen, seventeen, and eighteen will take your breath away!
