Berkeley Hall Just seven miles west of the bridge to Hilton Head Island and bordered by the Okatie River is the very private golf community of Berkeley Hall. Its two 18-hole, Fazio-designed core courses offer pure golf, without intrusion by streets or homes, and each is enjoyably walkable.
The North Course is a marvel of tranquil lakes, bold fairways, challenging bunkers and contoured bentgrass greens. The par 3 eighth tee, at 54 feet above the sea, is one example of the North Course’s dramatic elevation changes, which with its open coastal vistas and native grasses give fairways and greens a rewarding beauty to match their challenges.
Forest canopies and the meandering Okatie River as backdrop lend a classic parkland aura to the playing experience on the South Course. Its winding, pine tree-lined fairways and smaller greens call upon players for precision to make par.
The 30-acre practice facility features target greens, bunkers, two large tee areas and a short-game complex with four practice greens.
Directions
From I-95 South, take Hwy. 278 East for approximately 9 miles. The Berkeley Hall entrance is on the left at the first traffic light.
