Folly Field

Hilton Head Island has long been known for Palmetto Dunes, Sea Pines and our famous candy striped lighthouse but a neighborhood that still boasts the charm of why people visit the Island is Folly Field. Home to one of the oldest neighborhoods of the Island and centrally located, you can venture in either direction to area shops, restaurants, movie theaters, miniature golf, as well as the Westin Hotel.

This flourishing community of homes and villas offers wide beaches with lots of room to play and build sandcastles for hours. A quiet neighborhood where many families live year round is a great place to walk to the beach with out a lot of traffic on the streets. A perfect place for early morning walks to see the most beautiful sunrises on the island. 
The architecture of Folly Field homes is pleasantly eclectic, from old-fashioned beach cottages to modern marvels. The villas run the gamut from one-bedroom condos to exclusive oceanfront flats. Several villa complexes offer gated security, but like Forest Beach, the larger portion of Folly Filed is open-access.

Within a mile either way on Hwy 278 you can find great shopping at The Mall at Shelter Cove or Pineland Station the other way. Great golf is but 5 minutes away in Port Royal Plantation, or if you want you can walk to a great dinner at Carrabbe’s and then play putt-putt at Adventure Cove to work off the calories.
