Resort Rentals of Hilton Head Island Announces Important Trend Reversals in Guest Bookings
Hilton Head Island Aug 05, 2009 -- Due to a masterful blending of management experience with marketing imagination Resort Rentals of Hilton Head Island saw its number rise by 21.8% in May and 23.73% in June of 2009 compared to 2008. Probably the most important factor in this positive upturn is that they did it without discounting more than 15% to 20% while other property management companies on the island were slashing prices and offering discounts of 40% to 50%.
Over the last couple of years the trend for making reservations has changed. "Instead of contacting management companies in January and February for their June or July reservations they wait until about 6 weeks out" says their Marketing Director Julianne Young. Another reason they are waiting to make reservations is because travel pundits in the media tell them they will get a better deal "but while that may hold true for hotels as one room is the same as another with Hilton Head vacation rentals a guest may end up not getting what they want because those properties are already reserved," so says Gerard Mahieu owner of the company.
This year though a positive trend reversal has happened for Resort Rentals of Hilton Head Island that may bode well for the future economy. The July 2009 pre-bookings for summer 2010 are up 40% from July of 2008. Mr. Mahieu continues "The guests are looking at a brighter economy next year and have realized they need to reserve early to get the property that will be the perfect vacation rental for their families."
