Movies, Night Life and Just Hangin' Out

Hilton Head has three movie theaters. Park Plaza Cinema (843-785-5001) is located at the entrance of Sea Pines, Northridge Cinema 10, is mid-island in Northridge Plaza (843-342-3800) and Coligny Theatre (843-686-3500) screens independent films that change weekly and is located at the south end at Coligny Plaza. Hilton Head also hosts several playhouses: Arts Center of Coastal Carolina (843-686-3945), located at mid-island across from Palmetto Dunes, Main Street Youth Theater (843 689-6246) located on Main Street at the north end of the Island and the South Carolina Repertory Company also located at the North End of the Island (843-681-5194).  Many nationally known and local artists also perform at these venues.

When you're looking for nightspots, Hilton Head has many bars, bistros and clubs to enliven your evenings! There are over 30 establishments, some offering live music. Most can be found at the south end of the Island. Near the entrance to Sea Pines Plantation is a great place to start. Reilley's, The Brew Pub and The Lodge and other establishments make up what is known locally as “The Barmuda Triangle”. Within a block is Park Plaza, home to great restaurants and bars that continue into the night with live music and places to dance.

Coligny Plaza and The Beach Market on North Forest Beach Drive are other great places to check out when you're planning a night on the town.
Hilton Head Island also boasts an open-air beachfront bar, the Tiki Hut (seasonally), located oceanfront at the Holiday Inn on Coligny Circle. This is great vantage point for drinks, people watching and, yes, sand volleyball.

For even more culture plan a trip around when the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra (843-842-2055) now in its 26th season is performing. If jazz is more your style national acts appear at the Jazz Corner (843-842-8620) in The Village of Wexford. And between Hilton Head Island and Bluffton one can see all kinds of art at all of our wonderful art galleries.
